Marian Foundation Scholarship

Congratulations to Zaydee Arthur of St Joseph’s School Papanui, who has won the 2026 Marian Foundation Scholarship for Marian College.  Our entrance test results showed that Zaydee was the top-ranked student from all our contributing schools.

Junior Speech Competition

Well done to the nine students who entered the Junior Speech Competition.  Congratulations to Claudia Craze who was the winner, with an emotional speech on her recovery from ACL surgery and its impact on her.  Many thanks to Seyara de Silva and Mrs Sarah Flynn who were the judges.

Golf Success

Congratulations to Subin Bae who qualified for the 2025 Next Gen World Final Golf Tournament.  She earned this opportunity through her performance at the Next Gen Amateur Tour held in Wellington in May this year, which allowed her to progress from the national level to this international event.  The World Final tournament was held in Melbourne in November 2025.  Subin placed in the top 10 at the Wellington event, and at the World Final in Melbourne she finished in the top 25, placing 13th overall.  Competing in an international field and playing alongside such strong players was a great opportunity.
