Welcome to our Marian Whānau

Kia ora, congratulations on your acceptance to Marian College for 2026!  The staff and students are looking forward to you joining our school community.

Our first day for 2026 is Wednesday 28th January 9.30am-2.30pm.

In mid-December, students will receive a letter from Peer Support Leaders as well as receive the stationery lists and further information about the 2026 school year.

New Entrants' Orientation and Testing Day

Friday 31st October 9.15am - 2.30pm​​​​​​​

Parents, please drop your child off at the drop off zone/turning circle at the front entrance of our school no earlier than 9am for a 9.15am start. You can pick them up again from here at 2.30pm.

Students are to wear their current school uniform and they are to bring along a blue or black pen. They also need to bring a drink bottle and their lunch/snacks for the day.

Students may bring a mobile phone but this must be in a named plastic ziplock bag. Marian College has a NO PHONE policy during the school day, so please do not expect to be able to contact your child during the day. 

Orientation will finish at 2.30pm, to be followed by a second hand uniform sale, where limited items will be available. No access to the sale will be permitted prior to 2.30pm.

We are looking forward to hosting all of our Year 9, 2026 cohort together for the first time!

Friday 30th January, 8.30am-2.40pm                  Normal timetabled classes begin.                                                                                                                                          School summer uniform to be worn.

Friday 31st October 2025: from 9.15am-2.30pm all ākonga (students) are required to attend an Orientation and New Entrants’ Testing Day

Friday 31st October 2025: second hand uniform sale (limited uniform is available) onsite from 2.30-3.30pm. Please note that no access to the sale will be permitted prior to 2.30pm.

Thursday 20th November 2025: Welcome Evening for Parents/Caregivers (more details to come)
