Last week, eight Marian College students were presented with gold and silver Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Awards by Christchurch Deputy Mayor Andrew Turner at the Mayoral Chambers.
Courtney Thomas, Louise Daly and Kate Jamieson received gold awards. Jenna Martin-McKenzie, Rose Pender, Jessica Campbell, Miah Gray and Abby Ryder were presented with silver awards. Congratulations girls!
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is the world's leading youth achievement award. Participants design their own award programmes, set their own goals and record their own progress. In Canterbury the award programme is delivered by the Joshua Foundation.
