The Hikoi Tapu stopped at various places along the way to read scripture, pray and sing for those affected by the earthquakes in Christchurch, at St Mary's College site to pray for all associated with the Mercy Sisters, at John MacKillop's grave in Barbadoes St Cemetery to pray for those associated with the Sisters of St Joseph, at Holy Name Anglican Convent to pray for the Anglican sisters who had hosted Marian Year 9 retreats there, and finally at the new site at 122 Barbadoes to pray for current members of the Marian College community.
The Hikoi Tapu ended with welcome refreshments in Xavier Hall and shuttles to return pilgrims to their cars in Shirley.
